[MATILDE] What are some tips and tricks that you have run into or what does your morning routine look like?
[GHASSAN] Well, usually my morning routine, I have my trimmer. I just shave my head in the morning after I use the shaver. For me, for my beard—because after I take a shower there is a lot of frizziness in the beard—there is actually like a blow dryer, a comb blow dryer, that I use. I don’t have to hold the comb and a blow dryer at the same time with both hands. It just facilitates the work on my beard.
[MATILDE] Do you use it on your beard even having a short beard?
[GHASSAN] Yes.
[MATILDE] Oh, good. I didn’t know that.
[GHASSAN] Yeah, it helps a lot with the frizz after the shower.
[MATILDE] Oh, that’s really great. I know that there also is… it’s like a hot brush and it’s smaller so that you can use it against your face.
[GHASSAN] Yeah. It helps straighten out the beard. It won’t be out of control in the morning.
[MATILDE] For men that have beards and for people that actually don’t have maybe the hot brush or anything, are there any products that you would recommend that men use?
[GHASSAN] Yes, of course. There is the beard balm that people could use. It’s basically a mix of a little bit of beard oil and beard butter. When you use the beard balm, it helps straighten out the beard that it like won’t be out of control.
[MATILDE] Oh, that’s great. We have this one here. Do you want to try some?
[GHASSAN] Yes, of course. With the beard balm, you take just a little bit and you have to heat it up a bit in your arms and in between your fingers. Once it’s heated up, you just, from the sideburns, you go down, and just straighten out all the hair going down…
[MATILDE] Oh, that’s great. I can see the difference right now.
[GHASSAN] …instead of having all those… yeah. When you do it, it helps to not having all those flyaways everywhere in the beard.
